A Mixed Media Canvas and Black and White Layout ~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Hi Everyone,  Today I'm sharing two DT projects for Imaginarium Designs.  The 1st is a mixed media canvas piece.  The image I used was created by Teddi, my friend at http://creativesouls.blogspot.com.  To begin I used 3 of Tim Holtz's new stencils - Clockwork, Bubble, and Burlap with some light moulding paste.  After that dried I began rubbing in some Inka Gold Metallic Rubs - Steel Blue, Copper, Green-Yellow, and Gold.  I also rubbed the Inka's on all the metal gears and embellishments to match the canvas.  I think I've found a new fav in the Inka's..just love the colors and effect!!!  The Imaginarium Designs chipboard pieces that I used are the "Steampunk Clock" (IDT0016), Oval Frames (3 per board) Tinies (IDT0002), Long Swirly Flourish Small (IDFL0011), and the Leaves and Circles Flourish (IDFL0013).  I didn't gesso the pieces just rubbed the Inkas on them and they turned out just perfectly!!!  So here we go, here's the canvas followed by som close-ups.  Hope you enjoy, it was so fun to create!!

For my second project I used some beautiful black and white papers from Imaginisce's "Black Ice Collection".  This is a photo of my niece Zara with her little girl Madison.  For this project I used Imaginarium Designs chipboard pieces "Two Hearts with Cross Flourish (IDDL0004) along with "It's Your Smile That Captures My Heart" Phrase (IDP0093) which I altered using Tim Holtz's Distress Embossing Powder - Tattered Rose.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek and I hope you've enjoyed my creations.  Don't forget to go to http://imaginariumdesigns.blogspot.com and leave a comment for a chance to win some beautiful chipboard!!!

  1. Well...I am speechless about the canvas you created. It is breathtaking to say the least! The colors and all the embellishments are so perfect for this!

The second black and white with a hint of pink is so pretty and the photo really pops! I am loving them both! Ginger
